The Grand Forks Irrigation District provides essential water services, ensuring reliable resources for our community.
The District consists of three separate small water systems.
The Big Y Area, Copper Ridge Subdivision and The Nursery Area.

District Service Boundaries
Big Y System
Grand Forks Irrigation District provides critical water management infrastructure for local agriculture and residential utilities. Our service maps delineate the boundaries of our operations.
- Big Y System: Provides Irrigation and Domestic water for the Carson Rd. area
- Nursery System: Provides Irrigation and Domestic water for the Nursery area.
- Copper Ridge: Provides Domestic water to the Copper Ridge Subdivision.

The blue line shows the Districts effective boundaries. Please note there are some properties within the boundaries not serviced by the District.
Nursery Boil Water Notice
Due to the proximity of the wells to the Kettle River, the Nursery Area is on a permanent boil water notice.

AGM and Regular Board Meetings Schedule
The Board of trustees meet twice a year, once in the spring for the AGM and once in the fall.

7:00pm Thursday April 16th, at the RDKB Meeting room ( behind the Arena )
Two Trustees to be elected
Nominations must be received in writing
before Wednesday April 15th.
2026 Fall Meeting
Normally held in October exact date TBA
Water Testing
The Grand Forks Irrigation District water is tested weekly. Results are available on the Interior Health Website (see link below)

- highlight which system you wish to see results for:
